Winery Story:
Escudo Rojo ("Red Shield") is the Chilean project of the famed Baron Philippe de Rothschild family, combining Bordeaux winemaking tradition with the rich terroir of Chile. Grapes are sourced from selected plots in Maipo Valley, hand-harvested and vinified in the Bordeaux style, then aged for 6–8 months in oak barrels, resulting in a bold, balanced wine with intense fruit expression.
 
Tasting Notes:
Aromas: Blackcurrant, blackberry, ripe red fruit, pepper, blond tobacco, and licorice.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with rich black fruit flavors, prominent pepper notes, subtle oak, smooth tannins, and a long, toasty finish.
